Buy art with less than 1K

We live in a world where most of the people still believe that buying art is meant for rich people. On the news, you’ll only hear about uber-rich art collectors investing in Banksy’s artworks! But did you know that the number of art students is growing every year? There are more visual artists than ever before! So yes, it is really possible to buy art or invest in top artists with less than 1K dollars.

  1. Look for young artists and even art students

I went to art school, and I can tell you that many artists have amazing artworks even before graduating! No wonder why art gallery owners come to check for new talents at art school exhibitions. My advice is to find young artists or even art students whose works are for sale for the first time on the market. Usually the price range would be between 100-5000 dollars, depending on the artist's CV of course.

  1. Connect with artists

Get to know the artists you’re buying from. Ask to have a visio-call to see the artwork in live, and have a chat with them. It is important that you understand the message behind the artworks and the personality of the artist. Buying art is like buying a house, if you truly see its potential value, then go for it!

  1. Buy from renowned online platforms

There are many great online platforms offering affordable and original artworks. Here are my recommendations:
